IT Support Specialist


Function
This position reports to the IT Support Supervisor and is responsible for staff support and maintenance regarding hardware, software, printers, voice systems support, and other necessary IT related devices.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to end users on a variety of hardware and software issues.

  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.

  • Respond to internal telephone calls, emails, and the Helpdesk for technical support (First point of contact for all users).

  • Document, track, and monitor problems in the Helpdesk to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Set up new computer hardware and software for users.

  • Phone System end-user configuration and access

  • Move/Add/Change call queues, voicemail, message prompts, menu options, and call recording.

  • New user configuration in an Active Directory environment

  • Train users in application software.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot network printers.

  • Install software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, fixes, and resolve any related problems.
     

REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MS Office 365.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory Users, Groups, and Permissions.

  • Able to troubleshoot and configure workstations in a Windows networking environment.

  • Must have a basic understanding of networking principles and concepts.

  • Exceptional conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience in non-standard auto insurance a plus.

  • 3+ years related work experience in a Windows-based network environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • The ability to work under critical deadlines.

  • Strong troubleshooting and excellent communication skills.
